The name Las Vegas is often applied to the unincorporated areas surrounding the city, especially in tourist areas and near the Las Vegas Strip. 4.2 miles (6.8 km) long known as the Las Vegas Strip Boulevard is mostly unincorporated communities Paradise, Winchester, and Enterprise.
